ABOUT THE CELLCOM GREEN BAY MARATHON ELITE ATHLETE PROGRAM
The elite athlete program has an “A” standard and a “B” standard for qualifying as shown below. The qualifying standards are designed to ensure a competitive field of participants. No additional perks or benefits are granted to “A” standard participants versus “B” standard participants. Each tier for the two events has a fixed capacity of spots available which will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
To apply for the program, you must complete an elite athlete online application prior to the process closing. Applicants only need to apply for a given event, not a specific tier, since your past finish times will determine which tier you are qualified for. You will be notified if you have been accepted for our elite field within 10 business days. If you are not accepted into the program, you may still register and you will still be eligible for prize money awards.
Athletes who are accepted into our elite field receive a complimentary entry and local transportation. Elite athletes are also considered for Friday and Saturday hotel room accommodations on a first come, first served basis. Please note: For budgetary reasons, elite athletes will be asked to share a hotel room with another elite athlete. The deadline to ask for a hotel room is March 10, 2015. Athletes traveling from outside the United States: Requests for official invitations to participate in the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon must be received by April 1st to facilitate the visa application process.
